The Chocolate Room: Brooklyn, NY

Big Apple Bites

When you're in Manhattan, Brooklyn seems soooo far away, even though it isn't. Aside from the occasional vintage flea market adventure, most of my trips down to Brooklyn involve food (remember that pasta-making class we went to?). Anyhow, every farmers market, restaurant, and food event that I have been to in Brooklyn has been excellent...and The Chocolate Room was no exception.
86 5th Avenue, Brooklyn & 269 Court Street, Brooklyn

After stalking the website and online menu for weeks, I was determined to take my brother, Jack (a fellow chocoholic), to The Chocolate Room. We finally made it this past weekend.

What we ordered...
Chocolate Almond Sponge Cake dusted with powdered sugar
...to start

Dark Hot Chocolate with homemade whipped cream
Bittersweet Belgian chocolate blended with Valrhona cocoa powder and whole milk

The Chocolate Layer Cake
A luscious and perfect three-layer blackout cake

Black Bottom Butterscotch
A layer of bittersweet chocolate beneath creamy butterscotch custard topped with fresh coconut whipped cream and a chocolate wafer

Some more notable menu items that we didn't get to try (therefore, I will be back again)...
Chocolate cupcakes, cookies, brownies, salted caramel chocolate popcorn, banana split, chocolate truffles, and brownie sundae

What I captured from our adventure...
All gone!

You think we enjoyed it? Why don't you head down the The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn and find out for yourself!
